Love.

a good morning song to start off with

I am excited to change the number "2" to "1" on the cork board today. 1 more day of school left. Can you believe it? I can.

We get to start school at 8:20 am today! I think I will stop by Chad's place.

Day 02 - A picture of what you wore today

Let Me Take You Out-Class Actress

Though yesterday was supposed to be Day 2, today will replace yesterday's Day 2 instead. But this does not mean that today is now Day 3, because tomorrow will be Day 3. Now I know why the photo challenge has the word "challenge" in it. You just never know when you're going to forget about challenges like these all a sudden or not. 30 straight days is a month of commitment. But it's such an exciting goal to reach.

I didn't have any finals today, but I did enjoy having the permission of showing up to first period 20 minutes later than usual, finishing The Blind Side right when the first bell rang, seeing Chad and Jalena during lunch, and watching two straight hours of Forrest Gump again. I also got a chance to continue reading the curious incident of the dog in the night-time by Mark Haddon, which by the way, you guys have to check out his page because it's not the typical blog that you'd visit. The man is amazing.

So for the description of Day 2, I am wearing a fringed brown vest that I found from Savers a little over a year ago, a floral H&M knee-length dress that I bought out of randomness exactly one month ago from today , and some purple flats (that you cannot see here) that I purchased on sale from UO six months ago.

And I am in my weedy backyard.

Schuyler Fisk-Fall Apart Today

I just spent the last hour and a half watching this spectacular movie. I am in love with Jay Baruchel! I have to own this on DVD someday. Schuyler Fisk has such a wonderful voice. And who doesn't love Alexis Bledel??

tonight

movies galore

The Blind Side, Forrest Gump, and The Sandlot are the movies that are currently being played in every other class at school. I love, love, love Forrest Gump. As for The Sandlot, the teachers just never get tired of showing it. They all love the swimming pool scene.

carmel beach

There are just three days left of school and the only test I have left to study for is Spanish. Everyone, including myself, is getting a bit anxious to go to the beach this weekend.

Now that the U.S. History test is over, we can finally set the class down. I returned all of my textbooks except for my Literature and Spanish books. Lunch seemed awfully deserted today without the seniors, but it could just mean that we miss them already.

"remember...stay away from anything that's green" -chad

One Republic-Good Life

So this afternoon, Chad walked over and we took the bikes out to soak up some sun at Alum Rock Park. We went down to some creeks, hopped on a few shaky rocks, and came up with some interesting nature talks. We tried to go further down into this particular creek, but there was poison ivy everywhere. Chad told me to stay away from anything that was green, but when I looked up, the whole path ahead was... green.

We eventually turned back around and biked home. What a thrilling Sunday afternoon!

Day 01- A picture of yourself

So for the first picture of this photo challenge, I decided to go with a piece of tribal wear from Halloween. This is me. I am Jumping Badger.
I love the ending of The Notebook. It's just too sweet. I can't wait to go river rafting with Anh and the bros. Summer. It's happening in 4 days. Well 5, if we count the seniors' graduation. And 10, if we count the one week teaching program at Santa Clara University.

I just checked Collegeboard.com. SAT scores will be posted on the 24th of June!

Happy Sunday! Today I will have to finish writing the second half of the Euro reflection. I haven't done any real work for Euro in weeks. I know this assignment is just going to keep Anne and I up all night. But it's going to be worth it. I also have a U.S. History test on Monday as well. So lots of time will be devoted to studying.

I want to start this photo project that Dan and Lillian are doing also!

Turtley Trippy

You know it.

holy moly

It's no wonder that 2,882 people liked this. It's genius!

The boy in this picture has a slight resemblance of Michael Cera plus Dan's hair combined.

an overview of the mess i created over time

Well, my room is currently still being arranged. In the process, I threw out many old math, Spanish, Euro, and English homework assignments. My shelf is looking somewhat neat at the moment. But it just feels great to throw out unnecessary papers, books, and other items overall.

Call me Lame-o Laura, but these were some questions that I asked myself over and over again, overtime:

1. Why do I still have this? What does this mean to me? You get a piece of watermelon if you find the answer.
2. Do I need to keep this around? For what purpose?
3. Do I want to have a messy area or a clean area? Choose now Jane.
4. When will I ever touch this again? Should I just put it away somewhere first?

These questions got me kind of far. Some sections of my room are now organized more neatly than before.

Taking the SAT for four hours this morning was a long process as well. During section 6, I fell into the trap of not the 2-track mind that Revolution taught us not to have, but instead the 4+ track mind. I had all sorts of thoughts roaming around, and I lost my focus at times. I thought about how after I take the SAT, there will only be a few more things left to do before junior year ends. I thought about how I have to go return the roll of Painter's Tape at Target tomorrow. I thought about band, piano, tennis, cross country plans, biking plans, and pretty much everything else in the universe. Now I am going to lay on the floor and reflect on how this year went down because I could really use some rest for once.

Does anyone want to go biking tomorrow morning?

peace, love, unity, respect

So the bubbleprick 7" vinyl came in the mail this afternoon. I was really just going for the printing of their artwork. Maybe someday I will actually own a vinyl record player.

Oh, Chad made me one of those cute beaded bracelets. Thank you, love you.

heat is in the air

The first three pictures represent these two love birds that like to pose seductively in front of cameras. Oh Jalena, we are going to miss your witty sense of humor. A very settled Friday happened today and I am glad that I was there to witness it all. The last rally ran on time and I am glad that our audience became somewhat intrigued by our surprise "magic show."

I even changed the number of school days left on our cork board! I had such a fantastic morning to begin with since it was Donut Day today with Chad. I got two glazed donuts ( one for me and one for Marisa ) and a bottle of Lipton Tea. I realized that walking to school is much more efficient than having Daisy drive around the corner to pick me up to bring me to school daily. I actually like to time myself walking from my house all the way to the donut shop. I like giving myself reasons to walk to school in less than 15 minutes at a certain speed. I like taking morning walks more than night walks because then, I can see things clearly. It really is nice to breathe in some fresh morning air often.

Sitting under the scorching sun during lunch time was sure worth it. The TGIF gang brought almond jello, ham sandwiches, strawberries, mangoes, Capri Sun pouches, and Choco Taro Rolls. The bedsheets that we used for the skit in the morning came in handy to sit on the grass in the afternoon. We had such a nice Friday lunch together in general.

Going to the Leadership class was very exciting. Brandie and I went to down to the pool to watch the Physic's class test our their boat projects. After, we took a few pictures together with the seniors and before we knew it, we were off to 7th period.

Overall, a) I am glad that Jessica C. visited today! What a surprise! Happy, happy birthday, you! b) Congrats for making it to the very last day of high school, seniors. c) Math-Analysis testing is now over for me! d) I think June 4th will always be a day where we will all remember. I am just so glad that this is the last rally that Dan and I have to work on. I am also glad that my Junior Class President term ended on a good note today. I know you will do great next year, Camille.

Now, a) I have to take my SAT early tomorrow morning. b) Cheers to an upcoming Saturday with no Saturday school, and no make up piano lesson. c) I wish I could go to the BFD concert with Vu and them this weekend, but unfortunately time always conflicts somehow. The concerts will have to wait until summer begins.

facebook "like" galore

"Like this status and I will post on your wall something I like about you! Make this your status if you want a challenge."
Oh I took on the challenge alright. It was fun posting on 43 people's Facebook pages. I sincerely meant every word that I said and I am glad that I took the time to do this. It was really fun and meaningful to me because in a way, it made me feel happier about, just everything. I like to reflect on the good thoughts about people every now and then. I like that I got the privilege to meet and know all of these amazing folks over time. I am grateful for not just the 43 people who liked my status today, but also for the remaining people who exist in my entire lifespan.
Goodnight. It's the last school day to get donuts with Chad tomorrow morning!

piggy bank

I am in love with this adorable print! I love the artwork that Nicole Docimo does. I think you guys should check out her unique items on her page.

sunset, sunrise

Oh Dan, I am jealous. I should have gone camping with you and Kimmy after all. But I will wait patiently until summer arrives, so we can all go together as a group. I'd like to go on special hiking trails, roast burnt marshmallows, go tan at the beach, and listen to your "scary" stories too.

It's a good thing that Calvin came by a second time yesterday to fix my orange road bike. Now, I can finally ride it like there's no tomorrow again.

Finals. I know it's finals time when I am roaming around school like a zombie with no emotions and expressions. I know that I am exhausted when I walk home with so much in my mind that I don't even know what I am doing anymore. You know, it's that feeling when there's so much to do and you're taking things one step at a time, but still feel like something is undone. I don't know what's missing, but I do know that tomorrow will finally be Friday. In fact, tomorrow will be TGIF, which means that time again to bring food for the gang again. So rumor has it that it's going to be so humid tomorrow in the high 80's with a slight chance of rain. Either way,  it's going to work for me. I just want to keep the warm weather around because I like to feel that kind of burning weather during lunch time when I sit down at the green benches.

The last rally is tomorrow and we have all been waiting for this day for a very, very long time, especially the seniors. I sense a short, but long day of sadness and happiness combined together coming briefly. My "Summer... is... here." poster is rolled up and ready to go, along with the other posters I finished painting in Leadership today. Now I just need to buy two rolls of Painter's Tape for the last time. After painting a few more signs tonight, I will be free to put away the paint bottles for awhile. I get to mean it, this time.

I hope you have fun at the Cold War Kids concert tonight, Vu!

DIY headband(s)

Chad and Jessica made Hannah the cutest gifts yesterday. They made her DIY headbands with feathers and bands. What sweet and creative friends she's got! Have a happy birthday, Hannah!

sometimes i wonder what else i can draw

"the "PHunk" cowbell is now passed on to you, master wu. now rock it." -Anne

When I have time, I will upload the video that everyone recorded during class today. All I know is that Mr. Bouchard enjoyed the performance this afternoon. He finally cracked a few laughs in days. Band is every reason why I look forward to going to school everyday.

cherries-picking

I kind of miss picking cherries off cherry trees. Maybe I can get to that again some day. I'm not a big fan of cherries because I don't like to spit out the seeds. But I do like eating them sometimes because they taste like peaches to me.

The new Seventeen magazine came in today. Now I am just waiting for my Margot & the Nuclear So & So's 7" vinyl to be mailed in. It's definitely something that will make up this last week of working on math.

So the warm weather is finally coming around. It's that summer-y feeling that you get when you walk from class to class that makes you so excited. It feels like school is almost out. And surely, it really is.

sunny donut wednesday

Hooray for waking up early and cheers to a Wednesday with no piano lesson. I hope the chapter of limits will just come to me by the time I reach the post office to meet Chad, and before 1st period hits. I plan to get Marisa a chocolate sprinkle donut this morning just because she always tells me how she never eats breakfast. Look at what she would do to sleep-in. I'd never give up breakfast. But maybe a bagel and some cold orange juice would be better for her today.

Today is the last general Key Club meeting. Be there... or be square!

aren't these pretty?

Tuesday, June 1, 2010

Tonight is probably the fourth night where I've missed watching Glee on tv. But that's okay, because at least I spent around four productive hours at Karney's house after school, working on math. The conic section is nuts. At the moment, I will not forgive the orange book for having so many formulas that I don't plan on using in the future anytime soon.

There are now SIX more days left of Junior year. It's donut day tomorrow with Chad! So I better get to some zzz's as soon as possible, and wake up super early to study more math for the-last-day-of-ever-earning-some- extra-credit-points-in-Ms. Mac's-class.

On the other hand, I finally found my black-rimmed glasses behind my desk after about two long months. I must say, it's kind of nice having these crooked glasses back on again.

Also, I am in desperate need of a new cellular device soon. Not only is the crazy touchscreen functioning automatically, but the strange phone itself is constantly running out of batteries. I am kind of tired of charging this rock. It can't help me much anymore. I can't wait to either donate it or crush it into pieces. But anyway, goodnight to all.

wear what you love, love what you wear

Now here is the bike necklace that I wear almost every single day. I just love it, Johnson.

I spy a Murder Scene

So apparently Joseph created some Lego masterpiece for some class. Isn't it just amazingly amazing? I mean, look at how he built this kitchen! I see the sink, fridge, and all that kitchen-stuff going on. I want to go to Lego-land now.
