Treehouse Life With Mr. Weston

Do you know how bad I want to have a dreamy treehouse like this when I grow up? It's very bad. I recall spending endless days in Jessica's backyard in 5th grade. We used to have our secret club meetings up in her treehouse after school, everyday. Those were the best times of my life as a 5th grader.

In these pictures, Nick Weston is just living part of his 60-days adventure in the woods in this treehouse. He has recorded his treehouse life adventures in The Treehouse Diaries.

So very interesting.

DIY Harmonica

Today in Spanish, Nick and Peter showed us how to make DIY harmonicas out of Popsicle sticks, rubber bands, and two thick strips of paper. They were more like noisemakers, but it was definitely an interesting project for a Monday afternoon.

I just finished watching the Swedish thriller that Chad sent to me on Youtube yesterday. What a masterpiece. It's about a 12-year old boy named Oskar, who gets bullied often and finally finds a girl friend named Eli, who is actually a vampire. Throughout the movie, the two kind of form this profound relationship that cannot be compared to the other vampire movies out there like Twilight. Here is the link to the 11-part movie if you are interested in watching it and feel like reading some English subtitles. But do not read Wikipedia until later because it will give away the whole plot! Supposedly Matt Reeves is going to create a remake of this film called "Let Me In" by October 1st, 2010.  Though I am not sure if this film will be able to compare to this new remake in October, I'd like to go see it anyway.

So for the quick update on what happened on Saturday, Lin, Dan, and I helped out at the Senior Ball for a total of 10-11 hours and we had our fair share of work. Running the photo appointment times and organizing the lines took a lot of time, but I had a lot of fun getting everyone together to take their prom pictures on time without any complaints. I am really glad that I got the chance to see everyone so dressed up. Every single person in the room looked amazing. I hope you all had a great time because all of you deserved it.

As soon as I finish writing this movie review about Henry VIII for Euro, I will watch this movie that Chad just sent me. I guess it's movie night tonight.
This bag is genius.

When The Time Comes

I know when I have to gather myself together. Surely this week passed by quickly and I finally picked up the two official school transcripts that I ordered at the guidance office, the letter of recommendation letter for the Santa Clara University Teachers Program I want to try out from Mrs. Macasaet, and the letter of recommendation letter for the Nordstrom Scholarship from Ms. Chavarria. I am waiting on Ms. Davis to reply back to me on email right now to see if she turned in the Santa Clara University Teachers Program recommendation on her own or not.

Before 5 pm today, I have to finish up writing my personal statements and original essays. Later, I will drop them off sealed nicely at the post office before I head to tennis. I sense a hectic day tomorrow afternoon until after midnight since I am going to help decorate and run the photo session at the Senior Prom. I will see you guys there.

Aside from this, I need to save my flat bicycle tires on this sunny Friday afternoon.

This leaves us with the thoughts of only 18 days away from the last day of our Junior year, not counting the weekends, 22 more days until the June SATS, counting weekends, and 17 more days until our the last day-off of this school year on Memorial Day, counting weekends.

Don't forget to use sunblock kids.

Skies So Blue-The Rocket Summer

Biking on a sunny day feels the best on Staff Collaboration Days.

Save The Trees?

Look how happy these two freshmen are here, having their DS party while everyone else is doing something not so peaceful. By the way, now that some of the trees are shaved, it kind of looks like the school just planted some new ones since the trees look skinnier.

But then again, that's just my thought.

Bonjour, Je m'appelle Jane!

The first thing that came to my mind when I saw this shirt was the YouTube logo. But I like this.

It is now Thursday and I hope you are all sleeping because it's not good to stay up after 10-11 pm. I know, I know. I should speak for myself, but I just figured a lot of things out tonight and I am quite content at the moment. I really can't explain how excited I am to finally learn how to drive a real car soon. This time, it won't just be a Mario Kart on Rainbow Road.

Goodnight San Jose.

The Beach Sounds Nice

Tomorrow is Bike-to-work Day at SJSU. If I attend SJSU in the future, I'd take it as Bike-to-work day everyday if I could. I am so exhausted by now. After hours of searching for interesting college courses online, I am just so excited for the ones that I am actually considering to take this summer! Starting tomorrow, there will be 19 more days of school left, but this is not counting Memorial Day. I wish I could go to the beach with Chad next Tuesday, but unfortunately I can't. I also wish that I could go camping with Dan and Kimmy during the Memorial Day Weekend, but unfortunately I can't do that either because I am taking the 2nd round of SATS on June 5th. I need to leave my weekends open for studying.

I can't wait to visit the Santa Cruz beaches and finally have the bonfires that my friends and I have been wanting to have for so long. I can't wait to take these art classes and work on new art projects. I can't wait to look more into the fields of sociology/psychology. I can't wait to visit different museums. I want to go hiking, biking, river-rafting, camping, and rock-climbing. I want to visit the secret waterfalls the others have been mentioning about for the longest time. I want to go cave-exploring. I can't wait for summer to happen.

But I have to get going on studying for the SATS now.

Dodonut

Night Windows

I am loving the list of songs you gave me, Broskie. Tonight, this one will be on replay.

Hey Sheep

I made a sheep in Spanish today. The Tacky Glue was a bit too sticky for me. I also turned in my reimbursement form today from the materials I bought for Junior Prom. Last night, I completed Chapter 10.3 homework for Math in 3.5 hours, filled out the scholarship application I am applying for, and started writing the 500-words essay for the application.

Today I was able to ask Mrs. Macasaet and Ms. Davis for letters of recommendation for this Special Teachers Project I am considering to do at Santa Clara University this summer. Now I need to find out if it's only one week or so because I plan on signing up for science camp and other programs at SJSU. The movie Henry VIII got really scandalous today in third period, and the usual chit-chatty Chad and me even stopped to watch the intense drama between the king and Anne Boleyn . I also thought Platoon, the movie that we just finished watching in U.S. History today was quite interesting as well. If I learned Vietnamese sooner, maybe I'd understand the tiny dialogues here and there when the people spoke it in the movie. It didn't help that there were no subtitles.

Tonight, I am going to make the effort to practice piano for once. Maybe I will open the theory book. Maybe I will not.

Tuesdays are meant for the best things to happen since it's the best day of a week, in my opinion. It's so exciting to know that there are so many packets and information at the guidance office regarding summer college courses. I am still the same nerd bird.

You made it onto milk cartons. Ben said you looked like a beaver on this carton today though.

Thank you for posting, Dan.

Let's Cut This Foam Paper

In our how-to presentation this afternoon, Aleksis and I finally made the trumpeting elephants with the class. I am so glad that they really had fun making them. Breanne and Kelly made these bumblebees that hung on chopsticks. Brilliant. I am actually enjoying this Spanish 3 class for once. I look forward to it now because I actually like following through these how-to presentations. It's like putting new pieces of furniture from IKEA together, but using the picture guides they give you.

The best class today was Euro as usual, only because now Chad, Anne, and I have so much fun in the back row making videos of us peeling oranges and reciting raps from our boy, Ludacris. In that class, we are currently watching Henry the VIII, which is the first movie of the very long list of movies that we are going to watch for the rest of the year.

Before I end this, I'd like to throw in how these past two weeks or so have been absolutely amazing with Chad. He's one of those one-in-a-million friends who will actually sit down and listen to me when he knows that I have something to say. I am thankful for getting to know someone who can throw out such hilarious, but meaningful quotes here and there whenever and wherever. So thank you for being so wonderful Chad. You are definitely making my days as Jane, a.k.a. Ludamouse, fantastic.

And of course, I am looking forward to summer more than ever now because I have so many plans and goals that I want to get through this come June, July, and August. But for now, I will catch you guys later, because I plan on working on this scholarship application that I really want to give a shot for.
