Hello everybody. Today was another chilly and somber Friday. I think it just completely sucks that the weather likes to go up and down like an intense roller coaster. Luckily, Lin let me borrow her cardigan sweater at break because it was freezing cold. I am so glad that it is Friday! "TGIF" right? Besides the complex practice test we had to take in Chem first thing this morning, I also had to face the Chapter 5B Spanish test with imperfect and preterite verbs. Last night or should I say this morning did not go so well. A 2 am wake up call is not healthy, but if you think even licking a teacher's foot will get you an A, then Ha, I'm on the same page as you as well as waking up in the middle of the night/morning. However, I suppose it didn't come down to being as well as I thought, since I never put much effort in it, or her class from the start. Afterall, it is my fault for being so heedless. I watched Hatching Pete afterschool today and I thought it was going to be another one of the lame movies of Disney Channel, but then again, when has Disney Channel ever failed to entertain us with their enterprising shows?
On the other hand, at least English class was another interesting period of profound thoughts. From values, we learned who we really are and can be. So, what are my values? 1. Freedom 2. Money 3. Community 4. Discovery 5. Success/Achievement. Now don't get me wrong, it's not money because I'm greedy or anything, but I mean face it, everybody needs money. [ Not babies.] Money can get you to buy a hot cocoa drink when you're cold. Money can solve your house rent problems. Money can help you pay off the things that you could never pay off for your necessities. Money can save you a life. Love is important, but if it really comes down to being stranded in a dessert with your boyfriend who asks for nothing else but to spend the rest of your life with him without money, would you still agree? Would you risk giving yourself away to someone who you too love, but cannot because you and your boyfriend will be dying real soon due to the lack of empty stomachs because of just a fairly green dollar bill? By then, will you want to live on to be happy together? Or die together before you two get to grow old together? I'm over exaggerating, but to me, money is important to the world and it is important to me. Everyone needs it these days, especially our community. If we had enough, we would be able to spare it around to the people who need and can use the food and shelter. Money cannot buy happiness, but it sure can help save lives and that's what's important to me at the moment. Sharing and caring for others means the world and from it, you can too, go on adventures like on the list, but you will also find discoveries. New discoveries. I enjoy looking out for new and authentic things that will spark up my dull and endless days. When you have freedom, it's a privelege to individuality and timeliness. All of this will let you have leadership, which can later build a strong family/friendship relationship with an even stronger personality background. It all leads to success in the end. Whether you win anything or not, it'll still be noted as an achievement.
She said that our values may change, but it wouldn't necessarily still explain who we are inside. Well, if you say so, then it will be so. But I think that you should always carry the list within you at all times. Trust is important. Cleanliness is important. And if speed, competition, or personal growth is one of your most important factors, then so be it. We're all different. Values are values, but it doesn't just have to be five. No one's going to judge.
