Feeling Free Yet?

Happy almost April 1st you guys! Tomorrow will be the last day before Spring Break officially starts and I can believe that it is happening so soon.

One Of Those Before And After Things

Kids, take Euro.

It's A Yes!

So this is the poster I painted for Jenell to ask Andre to the Junior Prom. During lunch, Lin and I got ready to unroll the poster paper while Jenell waited for Andre to open the door and come out. Jenell basically had me take pictures of her holding the sign on her own camera at break. She then asked him to look at them at lunch. When he became confused, we pulled out the real poster and surprise!

Almost Tuesday

Tonight I am surviving with tea though. I am aware of the missing e. But 10,000 points to you if you find it.

This is my Monday night of course. There's nothing else but a CD cover, my Catfish and Mandala book for English, and a mug on my desk. Alright there's actually more to this. I still have to work on my POV for Euro, do the resume for Leadership, and study for my math test. Tutoring after school was worth it. It gave me time to study alone and get help from the nice student aids.

We should all wear something like this.

It's Still Dark Out

Just a bit. But I will pretend like it looks like this outside. After a 3 hour nap, I woke up early and took a refreshing shower. I jumped right into typing out my job application and district policy assignment for Leadership. It's supposed to allow you to list out all the responsibilities and duties the Junior Class President position (or in this case, your position in Leadership ), requires and should fulfill. I also got a chance to print out the extra credit review I typed up regarding the school musical. Supposedly there is a math quiz and U.S. History test today. See you guys at math tutoring after school because there is also a math test tomorrow.

Happy Monday.

So I am just taking a real break from 7+ hours of studying math. Now this looks very happy-butterfly-rainwbowy, but the Yahoo weather page says it's going to rain all week. How unfortunate.

Oh Yeah, See.

I just found one of the many pictures I took of the tall trees at Science Camp around six years ago. They are going to live forever.

Coffee Party

Well you know what, we'll have one some day too.

A Whale

This is insane! Here are César Brun's other drawings that I really like.

I have a long day ahead of me. First step of painting the prom poster for Jenell is now done. Next, I will start reading Catfish and Mandala and complete the chart for English. Then I will proceed to actually attempt more of the reading from The Great Gatsby and make strawberry lemonade. Beautiful bike weather today but that will have to wait until next weekend. I have to take care of math first, my least favorite friend at the moment.

And you know what Kaffy,

Even though this is a tee for men, I really like it.

Giraffes used to be my absolute favorite animals. I don't know what happened. But I still like them. I really want to go to the zoo and I think I will during Spring Break. I want to revisit Happy Hallow and see what it's like now. I haven't been there since the elementary school days on those fun-filled field trips, where I didn't have to worry about a thing except if I packed a lunchable or not. I also want to visit the San Francisco Zoo sometime. I am actually really afraid of animals and being near them, but I like to look at them and feed them from afar.

The musical was fantastic.

Now This Is More Like It

If this really happened, one item is definitely going to be crossed off my bucket list. I actually want to do quite a few things during break, but it seems so far away, yet so close. At the moment, I am just really trying to work on some scholarship and future activity applications. On the other hand, now being on the Advanced Level in piano scares me sometimes. It's mainly about analyzing and interpreting different types of musical techniques and skills in a mixture of more in-depth formats. But I just want to eat the Neopolitan Ice Cream in my fridge right now. I so feel like having chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla at the same time.

Only my favorite.

Tall Trees

By: Bobby Doherty

These trees remind me of the days I spent at Science Camp in the 5th grade. I remember hiking up the hills searching for banana slugs. Once I found one, I took a million pictures of it on my disposable camera and then realized I was running out of film quick. So I stopped and took pictures of the tall trees that I've never seen before, to make the film worthwhile.

Tonight I spied on my brother with Timmy and Jennifer at the basketball courts, after getting a coffee smoothie at Tea Era in Mountain View. There was a night club nearby called Monte Carlo. Maybe if I was old enough, I would had explored their idea of Monte Carlo inside.

I Want To Take Things To The Next Level

Things like these help build my patience. I'm not even kidding.

What Do You See Mr. Fox?

So I don't like how my vision is like the swirls after putting my contacts on at school. Lately I've been rushing out the door and putting them on before first period and it doesn't really feel all that comfortable. Yesterday, at 1:30 am Jennifer and my brother gave me Hazel Nut Cake. I thought it was a dream because I was laying down, but it wasn't. They also got me the blue bike cup that I got for Alison's birthday present, and some black shoes, which I like a lot. So I am going to practice my flute before I head to piano practice now.

Sandcastles And.. More Sand

I remember how I used to gather a lot of my buckets and shovels together to get ready to go to the beach. I always intended to make large sandcastles like the ones that they showed in movies and television shows. But unfortunately, I've never actually come across anywhere near more than a pile of sand in a triangular shape. After the ice cream outing tonight, Johnson dropped by and brought me some Jamba Juice. We definitely had a decent two hour hangout regarding YouTube videos, old memories, and future plans. But now, I have to get back to work since it will hit 4 am sooner than we think.

I still have to read Catfish and Mandala, work on my math homework, prepare for the talk session with Ms. Caldera for Spanish, and try to start my study guide for Euro AP. Thank God I am not planning to take the AP test, and putting together this portfolio of my past achievements for Leadership is kind of neat. It brings back a lot of memories of what I've done. The thing I like about my portfolio most, is that it mostly consists of Key Club... and more Key Club agendas, newsletters, brochures, etc. Interesting. It's amazing to know how much the three years of high school can change so much through not just a club for the school, but also for the community. I leave you here to think about what you plan to do tomorrow, which is now today. Perhaps you can go check out our school musical at the matinee show at 3:30 pm for only $5 or like me, wait for the piano testing results at 4:45 pm and plan to go to the musical on Friday or Saturday. Goodnight folks.

I Scream For Ice Cream

There was free ice cream at Ben and Jerry's tonight. So Jennifer, my brother, and I stood in line for an hour playing Alkinator. The Guru's a genius. Even though it was just for ice cream, the fun came from waiting in line. I got the Chocolate Fudge Brownie. Jennifer got the Coffee Coffee Buzz Buzz Buzz and my brother got the Mango Sorbet. Next time I want to try the Black Raspberry yogurt.

I like it when Ben drives. Funny and steady. Another thing is that math tutoring after school is interesting when Toan and Ben teaches.

Dress Up Night

Johnny Depp huh?

This Color Is Called Red Robot.

Shirt.woot calls this The Big Robot and you're supposed to wear this shirt design in a battle. I think it has a body of piano keys.

Wow you guys, look.
Another Monday is almost coming to an end. The days of the week don't exactly fly by as quickly as people say, but they eventually slide by one after another. Today I almost got an eye infection, but thanks to Jana, who had her life saving eye drops, I was alright again. In Leadership, we discussed the pros and cons of Fantastics and there were different points of views for both sides. But in general, everyone was satisfied with the outcomes.

I actually read the four chapters and did the chart in English for the book Catfish and Mandala by Andrew X. Pham. It's kind of a neat book, but I don't think I've read enough to exactly say I like it yet. At the same time, I know I should be on the lookout for a new book I'd be willing to read and not put down in the mean time for the outside class reading book. As for U.S. History, I am currently reading The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald and that, is very interesting. Aside from all these reading plans, Ms. Macasaet must have graded my 5.1-5.2 math quiz wrong. Otherwise, the 34/34 score I checked probably really appeared in my daydreams only. It felt like finally having perfect vision again. (Which I don't actually have because I have really poor vision.)

Now tonight, I have to study for my Spanish test, read, and put together my binder of achievements for Leadership.

Jennifer didn't leave this elephant hat on my desk for no reason. But I wish these came in ostrich style. Or, maybe they do.
-So I know your secret now Karney. You're not really psychic.

I will go to sleep as soon as I finish my librito for Spanish.

Tomorrow We Will Fly-Sam Hart

Passion Pit artwork by Niky Roehreke

So it's official. My phone turned blue screen this afternoon after piano testing for four hours. How unfortunate and unlucky. Now I need to look for a new phone. But on the bright side, I fixed my old Pentax touch screen camera. The lens of my Casio camera got stuck yesterday, but luckily Dan helped me fix them. So I think that's what motivated me to pull out the old camera to take a look again. Therefore I have to conclude that when one thing gets out of hand, another thing makes up for it later. That's what always happens, or at least that's what I think. And if this does not apply to you, then it will soon.

Tonight, I skipped out on Karaoke night with Jennifer and my brother. I don't know how that's going but all I know is that I have homework to finish and things to plan out for the upcoming week. I am also really, really glad that Fantastics is finally over and that there are to be no more practices and meetings regarding rules after school. Then there are two more events to plan, be tired from, and look forward to: Prom and the Goodbye Rally. As soon as those are over, summer will be rolling in quickly. I actually have quite a few plans worked out for Spring Break, but I don't know if I'd really follow through with them because what I really want is to just have some time to rest. Then I'd like to go biking and think about my plans from there. I want to pedal to a place I am not familiar with and then find the purpose of my next action in the time being.

Thank you for the neat mix Johnson, and Happy Birthday Jackson.

P.S. For you or not for you?

Yesterday Dan, Kimmy, and I went to see Alice in Wonderland in 3D. Number: 5.5 But I actually liked it since it reminded me of Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium for some reason.

I also got a chance to catch up with the last two episodes of The Secret Life of the American Teenager. Ricky sure is coming to his senses.

Fantastics sure was fantastic. The second longest week of Junior year has just ended. Tonight, we are the champions of 2nd place and we are perfectly satisfied with our ranking. Good job tonight everyone!

Thursday, March 18, 2010

Short days are absolutely the very best. I thank the third week of this month for the staff collaboration day because I had an eventful afternoon with my best friend Dan. First, we practiced our dance for Fantastics after school for about an hour of messy line ups. Then we went to Great mall to eat Mickie D's. We tried the Shamrock, which actually tasted like a combination of milky minty ice cream with a little mixed flavor of toothpaste with foam. 1.5 stars. We eventually found our outfits for the 90's theme for tomorrow night and you guys will see. We will look like fake Olympians.

Going back to school, I filmed the preview of the dance that Dan performed in public. The game of listing movies eventually ran short, so we went to Jamba Juice hoping to find Johnson there. But unfortunately, we didn't, so we ordered anyway. This Strawberry Surf Rider was genius, or maybe because I like lemonade. I've always wanted to make my own wooden lemonade stand. (The ones in the summer didn't count). At Target, we bought 2 boxes of tic-tacs, 4 cartons of water, a 2 litter bottle of Orange Soda for the Fantastics athletes, a box of Nature Valley Oats ' n Dark Chocolate granola bars, and some bobby pins for me. To conclude this post, I'd like to say I like Thursdays for sure.

So aside from painting, I apparently just want to ride my orange road bike in this kind of sunny weather all day long. But the time has not come yet.

Happy St. Patrick's day though. It's not too late to start wearing green.
