For Me? You Shouldn't Have.

So invitations came in today and Leadership helped fold 400 of them together. I thank you guys now for helping out. They look really nice but my camera quality is horrible, so this second 0 in 2010 is glowing red.

Are you excited for Junior Prom now? You should be!

Cups, Plates, More Cups ( 240 of them to be exact)

Ta freaking da. I found some plastic glass-looking cups for our Junior Prom today at Cash and Carry. I also picked up the trays and punch bowls that we would maybe need for the food table. Hopefully it will add on the elegance that I am looking for, for this theme.
This is what the freshmen quad wall looked like at 6:30 am.

So please vote for me for your next ASB President!

Let The Campaign Begin

So now it is currently Monday a little passed midnight. Lin left about an hour ago and today was counted as another one of the most productive days we've experienced together. Thanks to the help of Vincent, Sherry, Anne, Karney, Dan, Lin, and my lovely parents, I was able to get most of the campaign supplies ready. I set out early this morning to collect and gather my supplies before I called everyone over for a campaign party. For Lin and me, I bought lots of ninjas, finger puppet monsters, erasers that are crayons, and toys that are similar to spin tops. At Staples, I picked up some cute labels that we could tie together (and then get them tangled) on the toys that we are going to pass out.

Taking a big break, it was really fun to hang out in the dark with Karney, Anne, and Sherry when all we did was be indecisive about where to eat before Junior Prom starts this Saturday. Karney insisted on heading over to Thai Lovers, but if we are not going to go to Maggiano's, then the rest of the group would probably prefer going to Macaroni Grill by McCarthy Ranch, where it's also close by. But we will see.

In about a few hours, Lin and I are going to go to school to post up our campaign posters. I am glad that Monday, a.k.a. today, is going to start out sunny and end sunny. I just find it ridiculous that the weather likes to rain and then shine, often.

P.S. I already emailed Mr. Meyer about the Junior Prom photos and hopefully he will let me know if I should know anything about the appointment schedules, if there are any.

P.PS. The strawberries are on sale at Safeway and they are worth every bite.

March of Dimes 2010

Kimmy, Dan, and I set out early this morning to get to the Los Gatos Vasona Park for the March of Dimes. We bumped into Ben as the walk began, and from there, we started walking the 6 miles trail together. The pit stops were what got all of us excited most, because none of us grabbed breakfast before we headed out the door. I give 5 stars to the yummy nutritional blueberry bars.

I also learned the entire "Justin Beaver" rap for sure this time with Dan. We had music to accompany our practice raps too.

Going back, we grabbed some snacks like the celery and peanut butter packs, fruits, and cookie crisps. Then Ben drove us back to San Jose and we went to Jamba Juice. The Macho Green Tea Blast is literally the best, and I am glad that I did not order Strawberry Surf-Rider today. Though we didn't go feast at Home Town Buffet, we went all the way up to Sierra Hill and checked out some cows and of course, the views.

Coming back home, I waited for Kimmy and Dan's mom to come again to take us to order corsages and boutonnieres at A and K Floral. I liked the service there and the flower shop was really cute all in all. It reminded me of how my mom used to tell me that she would go and work at a floral shop when she grew older. But this was when I was a little kid. She also told me that she'd like to be a farmer though.

After I did the flower business, Kimmy and Dan's mom took us to Great Mall to look for shoes for both Kimmy and me. Though out of luck, the three of us went to McDonald's and got our fast food dinner. I also got a chance to try the Raspberry Banana smoothie at Surf City. I give it 4 out of 5 stars because 4 for the raspberry flavored part, but -1 for not being Raspberry Blueberry smoothie instead. Those two berries would be the best combination that could ever be invented in my opinion.

Heading home, I went straight into my room to change to go play tennis with Karney, Anne, Anne's brother, Sherry, Sherry's sister, and Vincent.

We stayed there until it got dark. At this moment, I am kind of trying to save my junior prom dress from getting ruined, since I came home to my mom panicking about how it looks like the tacky glue from my project has gotten on it.

A long day awaits for many of us tomorrow. I will update again soon! Goodnight to all.

3rd Annual Youth Conference

"We cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future."
-Franklin D. Roosevelt

I attended the Youth Conference today at the San Jose City Hall. Through the different workshops, I was able to learn more about the current issues that the youths are facing today and how I should deal with the difficulties. I went to the Community Activism and Budget workshops with Kelsea and Mrs. Jones. I actually thought the Budget workshop was quite interesting since the tips and issues addressed were really helpful. Even though we are currently going through some budget cut issues at our own school, I met some people today who have gone through worse. I really hope that their ASB boards will be able to figure out something soon because I can see how awful it would be like to not have any clubs, activities, and sports running at all. It's like robbing a youth's entire high school experience away. I think I need to do some massive researching on budget proposals and cuts this weekend.

But hey, on the other hand, we finally got through another tough week of school. Congrats to everyone who has worked hard this week. I think you guys deserve... 6-miles worth of walking at March of Dimes tomorrow at the Los Gatos Vasona Park! See you guys there.

One week of hard work can finally be turned in tomorrow morning.

The Selfish Couple : Daisy and Tom Buchanan

I decided not to go with 10 million characters and stuck with the main ones. So now I am completely done and above is the finished product.
If I had time this weekend, I'd definitely go see this.

Tonight I have to, have to finish this diorama.

the banana-nutella sandwich business

Some people have their hearts split in half, but Dan and I like to sread nutella on our bread and split them as a symbol of friendship.

"Flowers... Money.. Flowers and money. Now that's really something."

I recall how last year's Club Day meant a lot to both Dan and me. That was the time when we found out that we won class elections. Though this year, there were not any news to be announced, we still had a great time! Who would have guessed that today, the day that everyone thought was going to rain, would turn out to be so sunny? The junior class broke even with our banana-nutella sandwiches. I am so glad that we decided to make them because not only was it fun, but the fact that it's literally chocolate and banana on bread already made everything amazing! How could you turn down a banana-nutella sandwich? (Unless you are allergic to chocolate and do not like bananas.)

After Club Day, sitting in front of the school waiting for Kimmy was interesting. Settling down on the wet grass, Dan created a banana-nutella sandwich for me, after everything was packed up, all while my right foot was super cramping. Chocolate really does solve some things, but so does a good friend. So I thank you Dan, even though it's not Thanksgiving today.

On a side note, this is the third year where I am married to Dan at the "Just Married" stand. I really don't know how many wives and husbands I have by now.I also got a new colorful friendship bracelet this afternoon from someone who made it from Environmental Club. I'm sure we'll be friends forever now.

Happy Thursday and last day of Star Testing for sure.
