Hello
Birthday
Cake!

Today, my brother, Jennifer, Trung, Dan and I went to watch 500 Days of Summer in Campbell. The film was simply fantastic. In the afternoon, the three of us played Fruits and Egyptian War, while we waited for everyone else to arrive at Santana Row. We went to Fantasia to get drinks and ended up mixing the three into one. When everyone else came, we went to Left Bank for dinner and as you all can see, the surprise treat Karney, Dan, and I made yesterday was the surprise chocolate fudge cake for today! I hope you had a great time today, minus the part where we had to run back to Bank of America to check if my debit card was still in the ATM machine, Trung. Sorry for the rush. Goodnight everyone!

(I stole this picture from Dan!) -only because Trung's smiling big here.

Today, while walking down an almost deserted Santana Row, a large man knocked Jane in the shoulder and grabbed her purse, spilling all the contents out. He snatched her wallet, rummaged through it, and took her debit card, which contains a large amount of money. FHL

Just kidding. Jane didn't press the Return Card button at the ATM machines and left her debit card in there. Thankfully, after calling to cancel the card, she was told a new one would arrive in five days!

I'd post pictures today, but it will take too much work to plug everything in in the usb drives. I am currently in my brother's room, on his computer. There's only one reason I am in here and that is usually when a. my computer does not work , b. my computer does not work, or c. I totally broke my computer. I'd go with c. because right now, it is going through a sad, sad disease. I am glad that my mom brought up the one year warranty contract with DELL. Lessons learned for life (that only goes to me): Never get Dell computers Jane. Never ever.

P.S. I am sorry that today will only consist of text. But this morning was off to a great start thanks to Karney and Dan! We biked to Safeway to get food ingredients to make our special treat in the afternoon. The special treat will be announced... tomorrow! See you all then.

I apologize for the blurry picture, but my webcam has bad quality at night! The three of us had an intense webcam party tonight , celebrating for Trung's Birthday which is now today. It turned out that Dan and Trung had matching pillows AND boxers! My, my, they are the real soul brothers. The party hats didn't turn out too well as usual. My hats never turn out to be a perfectly shaped cones. On another side note, everyone adopted pets tonight. Have a happy birthday Trung!

Come tomorrow Dan!
P.S. When are you going to update those cool Disneyland pictures of yours? I am waiting!

I really cannot wait for many , many things! For instance, there is RTC (Regional Training Conference) to be excited about! This Key Club Event will be held on the weekend of September 26-27th at Camp Jones Gulch. Another over night event means another day in the woods with another set of different Key Clubbers at another exciting place!

July 2009 Region 17 Issue

October 9th with Ellen Page, can't wait!
For one thing, measuring more than 33 ft of butcher paper each time is not easy with one person. It gets worse when it has to be 4 pieces of the same original measurements. But I am no quitter! I am almost done! Let's have faith in our main hall.

1 of 12 Last Looks of the Hummer

"Because when you’re not inside your Hummer, you still want people to know you own a Hummer."

Hehe, cute.
I woke up early again feeling anxious to go to tennis practice at least once this week. So I quickly poured the Frosted Flakes out into the cereal bowl and munched and crunched it down. When I biked all the way to PHHS, I saw Raymond, Bianca , and her sister, Erica. So I handed over the brown jacket that she left in my backpack last Friday. Then I told Christine that I couldn't even run, but I supposed walking was alright. I knew I shouldn't have gone because I just ended up biking home. I didn't shut up and drive. I got up and biked. The good thing about biking is that it doesn't touch the bottom of my toes, so that's a little bit more convenient. On the way back, I said hi to Eileen and then stopped by Karney's to pick up the Polaroid camera and Addidas sweats that I left in his backpack last Saturday. Now that I am safely home and Limpy Lulu again, I'll just focus on measuring most of the butcher paper again.
Happy 20th birthday ,
Eric!

T h r i f t y Tuesday

My brother took Sherry and I to Savers this morning to go thrift store shopping. There was this moment where I really locked my eyes on this vintage bag for about 5 minutes for an amount that was worth only 5 dollars, but I ended up walking out empty handed. Though a little discouraged mind did not kill me, I still wanted to check out some more thrift stores. So after we stopped by Michael's to return the six bottles of paint I did not need for Leadership, we went to Crossroads and Black and Brown. Luckily there, I found a few pieces that simply won my heart.

When I got back, I watched The Secret Life of the American Teenager on ABC family.com like I do usually, every Tuesday. After, I finished up the rest of the movie Science of Sleep. (Sorry, I didn't wait for you Dan! I could not help myself! But I'll watch it again when you do come sometime this week because it was literally that good!) I thought it was a really cute, adventurous, and even magical movie in its own "scientific" way.

P.S. It was too bad that the Gallery at Black and Brown was closed today!
P.P.S. I cannot wait until you get back Vickie! Let me know when you want to hang out soon.

The movie is about how this man named Stephan moves into this place where he finds that he is attracted to his neighbor Stephanie. Throughout the movie, he often transforms his dreams into reality. The two combine their artistic minds together and become great friends. Soon, he tries to go out of his way to win Stephanie's heart.

Who loves
PIE?!

I spent the rest of my day with this fabulous movie. Waitress was just a stunning movie. There were also a few humorous and unforgettable scenes. Overall, the storyline was brilliantly written.

It's basically about this woman who is in a deep marriage that she cannot get herself out of. Soon, she finds herself pregnant and gets confused about where she would go in life later. She continues to make all different kinds of names for the pies she invents daily and they relate to how she feels at the moment. As time passes by, Jenna, the "waitress" forms a love affair with her doctor and in the end....you'll just have to see for yourself! I strongly suggest that everyone checks this fantastic film out some time. Nothing could go wrong with some pie-lovin'!

How wonderful is this? Jamba Juice is offering another Buy 1 Get 1 Free coupon! Alison, it looks like we should go out for another run soon huh?

Dubai Tower (211 Meters off the ground!)

Knowing that I just scraped the entire chunk of skin off my left foot yesterday night, I still got up early this morning to try to get ready for today's tennis practice. Unfortunately as I headed out the door before I opened the garage, the skin scraped off underneath my toes were begging me to not go on. What is this? Is it some kind of Karma due to the fact that I was ignorant and didn't sleep at the time that I set myself to? Then looking in the gigantic band aid box, I find nothing but wrappers. What is the deal with all of this? It looks like I will just have to limp on one leg and do a whole lot of hopping around the house for the rest of my life. Okay fine, that is too dramatic. It's probably going to heal later tonight or tomorrow hopefully. Maybe this is a sign to tell me that I have to focus on studying hard again and really get going on measuring the butcher paper for Homecoming faster.

P.S. " That makes me wonder if these players will chase the balls at full speed. I’m not afraid of heights, but I’d be too scared to play up there… What if I get over excited, run off, then fall off? Where are the fans supposed to be watching the game from ? Helicopters ?"

"To celebrate the Dubai Duty Free Men’s Open, the ultra-luxurious Burj Al Arab Hotel has built the world’s highest tennis court on it’s helipad. An artificial court had been especially laid on the helipad of the £750-a-night Burj Al Arab hotel, the sail- shaped profile of which dominates the skyline."

Key Club Motto:
"Caring - Our Way Of Life"

Key Club's Mission:
Key Club is an international, student-led organization providing its members with opportunities to perform service, build character, and develop leadership.

I am so excited for the upcoming year! I hope many of you consider joining Key Club because it's a really great way to meet new people and be active in plentiful activities. It's the best way to give back to the community. Please join our group on Facebook if you are interested! We have a newly improved website coming soon as well!

They've been talking about this limited release film since 2007 now. Let's hope it actually comes to the big screen soon!(Word has it that it is coming in September 2009!) Hehe, I've always been a fan of Hilary Duff.
Zooey Deschanel is just lovely.

So far, the best thing that happened today was probably that grass jelly with pearls milk tea I ordered at TapEx today. Walking in the store gave me an urge to think of Trung and his uncle's daily visit there for some reason. It seems like Dan is having a whole lot of fun at California Adventures! I hope Camille is going to have a blast in Las Vegas tonight as well. As for me, I think I will do some book hopping and start reading a different book other than Three Dollars for now. I also have to start measuring butcher paper for Homecoming again soon. I cannot wait to visit the art gallery with Edwin next week! I also cannot wait for Trung's birthday party! It looks like we will finally be able to see 500 days of Summer!

P.S. It's that time again to wait patiently for Paper Heart to come out on August 7th!

Key Club Officers

You were so worth it Dunes Beach.
Though we did not visit the lovely Dunes Beach in North Carolina, we did end up going to the Dunes Beach in Half Moon Bay for our Officer Training Conference for Key Club! The training was held from 9 am- 3 pm. The last hour mostly consisted of the sandcastle competition between all of the different divisions that were there. For all who are unclear and curious, a division consists of maybe about 8- 14 schools! Amazing or amazing? The day ended with only the best drink in the world from Jamba Juice, treated out by the one and only Karney. Happy Saturday!

We will be running our stand starting from 9 am - 2 pm. Bring your friends, families, and relatives!
The Beauty of Art
I basically spent my morning at the Girls' Tennis Car Wash at PHHS. In the afternoon, I spent a great deal of time sitting in front of my computer screen searching for internships that might surprise me out of the blue. So guess what? I ended up with some alternatives. There were countless broad issues that I came across that seemed to be waiting to be covered as well, but there I was still wondering what really interested me in life the most. But I have to say that today, I have finally found many, many imperceptible opportunities that seemed to just lay there patiently, waiting to be clicked on.

Furthermore, I've been reading the book Three Dollars by Elliot Perlman still, and I think that it is a bit overwhelming for a reader to classify it as just a novel. But then again, I remember that I read this one part about how the protagonist's wife wanted to make this life changing decision for her new career with the need to prepare ahead of time for many of the upcoming events. Her situation only made me realize that I should start allocating my own time together for the upcoming projects that will yet to be approached.

P.S. I cannot wait for tomorrow!
P.P.S. I hope you get plenty of rest tonight, to get ready for tomorrow's excitement at The Happiest Place on Earth, Dan!
P.P.P.S. Again, P.P.P.S. probably does not even exist.

This is a key club color coded box for the tickets we will be collecting for the sandcastle competition this weekend! I really hope most of the officers show up , since it is the official OTC (Officer Training Conference)! I hope there will not be any last minute spurious excuses like having to take care of your pet dinosaur Beth or cooking for your parents on a blazing hot day. I can't wait to see you all then!

Beach+ Key Club= The Real Summer Fun

At the moment, I am sipping on some delicious icy mango juice that my dad handed to me. This morning's bike ride was quite rocky. I wonder when the roads will be fixed. But then again, no road will ever be completely smooth and perfect to ride on. I showed up to practice an hour early because Vivian finally decided to take the initiative to come back to the team practices. Near the end of practice, we also began core work for conditioning. At the end of practice, Vivian came over to hang out and watch me practice the piano songs that I always wait until last minute to practice. After a few hours or so, I walked her back to PHHS and on the way back home, Eileen walked with me. I told her about the white sedan and the creeps inside the car the last time I walked home.

I am about to head over to piano lessons now.

P.S. I cannot wait to go to Dunes Beach!

There comes and goes a serious time for everybody I know.

I recall that I've always wanted to start a long list of thoughts about people. Since Alison and Dan did them, I think I will finally come around as well.

P.S. This list does not go in a specific order. If you think that one of these brief paragraphs could be you, chances are they might not be. Just think of these more as random rants rather than absurd sayings.

1. We've met at the beginning of my 6th grade summer tutor class. Though you do not go to my school, I think I've always treated you differently because I've always wanted a close friend that lived far away. But during the years, you've always thought so highly of yourself and I didn't know what to do with you anymore. To me, you have always liked to think that the whole world revolved around you. You never really stopped to listen to what I had to say. To you, nothing really mattered besides your own thoughts. The real reason I haven't been returning your calls and returning your messages for so long is because I want you to know that I am tired of dealing with the selfish part of you. I do hope that you and I will come through someday in the future though.

2. You are one of the closest guy friends I have. Even though a lot of people find you annoying at times, I do not. I say that you are sometimes, but I never mean it. I like that I can run to you every time a big situation comes up. Thank you for always being there for me.

3. I don't know if I could call you an ex-best friend or not because you told me you never believed in best friends starting from 7th grade. To this day, I still value you as a close enough friend to tell you most of my secrets to. Even though we went through quite a lot of problems back then, I believe that our friendship will not change for a very, very, very long time because we always click through wherever our conversations bring us to.

4. We've been distant for a total of 9 years. Can you believe it though? We've actually missed out on 9 great years of communication. I've always wished that I could have what other siblings had. After years of awkwardness and loneliness, I think this summer may finally be the beginning of a progressing sibling relationship. I also think that this is the first summer where I was able to tell you many of my thoughts. I also like how we are able to cover for each other whenever something happens. Though we've missed out on each other for so long, I think there is something about you that I will always want to be a part of. I call you "ma brothah" only because you are my real brother.

5. I've known you since kindergarten even though we did not have the same class. Our parents have always known each other and I'm glad that we've always had some kind of close relationship. You are one of three closest guy friends I have. You've always been able to make me laugh. and I am glad to be a part of "the herd." You are a true friend and I know that you will always be there for me through the thick and the thin.

6. Are you wondering why I haven't written about you yet? Well this could be yours. I am glad that you are too one, of the three best guy friends that I've ever had. I've known you since kindergarten as well, and we've created a lot of great history this year. It's hard to describe all of the things we have been through this year together. It is also hard to describe all the secret codes, handshakes, lines, etc. we've made up all in one. Words cannot fully say how spectacular your personality is and how great of a friend you are. Though you sometimes say that I don't really know you and vice versa in that profound sense of way, I know that we will still be friends forever. I believe that there will be plenty of time to get to know each better in the coming days. Sometimes I have to admit that I doubt about if I should classify you as a best friend or not, but in the end, the answer is always clear to me.

7. You know, many people have said that you were a blabbermouth and that you always liked to make rude remarks about people. When I met you, you were probably one of the nicest things that I've ever come across to. Now, I still think of you as a decent friend. But I hope you do not get ahead of yourself because you need to pull your deviousness together whenever something happens. The dark side of you gets kind of vicious.

8. You are probably one of the only girls that I have known since kindergarten. You are also one of the best girl friends I've kept ever since. Though we do not hang out at the same table anymore, I know that you will always keep that door open for me whenever I need to talk to someone. (Besides today, that is. Sleep earlier!) I think of you more as a sister rather than a best friend because that is how close we are inside and outside.

9. Speaking of sisters, I suppose you will be the closest person that I've counted as well. I like how you come over a lot and check up on me once in awhile. I am glad that you've pulled my brother and I closer in every way. I don't know how much I can thank you. You have a funny and dazzling personality that my parents and I all like. I'd also like to thank you for showing me all the things that I never thought I would enjoy.

10. I believe I met you during freshmen year. You had a hilarious personality. I really thought our friendship was going to be something phenomenal. I wouldn't say I was wrong, but it's just the way you thought of people that caught me in my doubts. You've always liked to judge people. Sometimes you even like to think highly of yourself while the others seem to be either below you or not worthy of you. You've kept a lot of secrets behind my back, thinking that they would never come through to me. Sometimes when I asked you, you lied right then and there to me.I wouldn't say I don't know what happened to us because clearly, the shadyness has got to stop.

I suppose there are so many other people to mention above, but I think I will stop it here tonight. Also, I don't think I will be doing one of these again in a long, long, long time.

1. Strawberry Avalanche

2. Hot Air Balloon

3. Fireflies

Thanks to Trung, we can now listen to a few songs of Owl City's newest album! I'd say my personal favorite song of the three would be Hot Air Balloon! How about you?
We finally came through to watching Rocket Science this morning. It was literally one of the best Indy films ever. When the movie was over, my brother took Dan and I to Starbucks to get some cold, icy, and refreshing drinks, in which both of ours turned out to taste too sweet. So we ended up going to Karney's to give the ill boy some sweetness after many days of lying sick in bed. For lunch, I toasted the leftover Papa's Pizza for Dan, while I made myself a delicious turkey ham-cucumber-tomato-sandwich. We started gathering the colorful paint bottles and butcher paper into the car to get ready to head over to Camille's when the clock stroke 2 pm.

Notice the wonderful painting Dan painted below. It's supposed to be the black table and chair I have in my room. But doesn't it remind you of abstract painting? If you look at it upside down, maybe the table actually looks like a two legged monster and the chair seems to be an upside down four legged dinosaur/llama!

Can you spot the differences?

None there are! ̶̶ Dan

Currently playing the board game: Stone Age

Maybe I will elaborate more tomorrow sometime in the day. Goodnight everyone! Don't forget to attend the Free Pastry Day at Starbucks tomorrow starting from 5:30-10:30 am (with the coupon!)
Following up with my regular morning routines every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, I biked to tennis around 8:30 am. Though the sky was swarmed with clouds at first, slight breezes eventually turned into insanely warm breezes afterward. Running the perimeter adding the extra mile up to Sierra Hill let us feel like we were in great shape for the upcoming season again. When I got home, the fabric was dry and my brother helped me paint over it onto the Hanes v-neck t-shirts. Viola!

P.S. I am so excited for OTC (Officer Training Conference) for Key Club this Saturday!

Sunday, July 19, 2009

I've been busy mod-podge-ing (the white glue) the text "INVISIBLE BRUNO FINN" tonight. I'm really trying to get ready to screen these tees we've been wanting to for awhile. Today was a beautiful day to go summer shopping at Santana Row. There were plentiful summer-lovin' sales in specific stores. I also watched When Harry Met Sally thanks to my brother and Jennifer. Furthermore, I finally finished reading Hope's Boy after days of not touching it. I cannot wait to finish up the tees!

Lindsay Lohan is back

This looks amazing! It airs tonight also!

People on YouTube are too kind. It turns out that the entire movie is uploaded already!

Brilliant Video, yes?

Free Pastry Day
So I bought Dust Factory at Lucky's the other day while searching for lemons. Dan and I came across this movie and thought it looked interesting. Do you want to know how it turned out?

Well... buy it and find out!

Okay maybe it wouldn't be such a great idea since it's really just a typical movie about how two teenagers eventually transfer their prior fears in life into merrier thoughts for the future.

When life gives you a lemon...

It knocks you down.

This may look like there are a whole lot of lemons... Well that's because there are! Dan and I collected bags and bags of fresh lemons (21 limes which we have not used yet), sugar, and strawberries today. When Dan left from Sherry's house from the Key Club meeting, I went home and did a whole lot of squeezing, testing, and mixing. I am dead tired now. So all I am asking is for all of you to try and stop by the lemonade stand tomorrow starting from 9 am all the way until 5 pm to try out our first-time-ever-handmade-freshly-squeezed-lemonade! (It will be held in the student parking lot at PHHS, across from the Farmer's Market, once again. I believe it will also be right next to the senior class's car wash as well!)

P.S. Aren't Karney's lemons humongous? They almost look like oranges! But special thanks to Karney since we handpicked them today in his yard.
