"Money is always going to be a problem in life , unless you have an extremely rich parent (s). In the lives of normal people, money is a bitch. You can't live without it , but you can't live with it."
- Peter Vu
In the words of the wisest Peter Vu I know, he can not be more correct than he already is. We were just having this what we call heart-to-heart conversation that we have once in awhile, and it just got both of us thinking about all sorts of plans that lay ahead of us. He once told me he wanted to open his own bookstore when he grows very old and I see myself being in ... possibly a coffee shop when I am pretty old someday. Planning new things can be exciting, so I don't know where it's going to take us this time but I just know that one week , or even one day can change someone's mind like mine very quickly. One second I like doing this, and then the next I feel like it's all crap. It either turns out to be useless, disappointing, or just not worth it. But whatever it is, it's all going to be worth it in the end in some way, somehow. And that is the line I go by because if you don't think so , chances are it won't be so.
I realized that I really do like school. And this is making me sound nerdier than I already am, but that is definitely a fact. It's nice to face different people everyday and learn to cope with the difficult at certain times. Peter thinks that high school is going to still be completely bogus to him by the time he graduates and looks back. To me, you could possibly hear me say something like that maybe tomorrow, but I know that it's not completely true. Because in the end, there's actually going to be a lot to look back to like the things I've done. Things like being in clubs, going to meetings, participating in Leadership events, playing sports, etc. The one thing I'd truly miss.... will remain a secret for now partly a) because I have not come up with something unforgettable yet and b) a secret's a secret. The whole "a secret's secret is to not have a secret" thing with Peter and me doesn't work this time.
I am grateful for the many things I do and hopefully it stays that way for as long as I live. On another side note, friends were always something more. It's nice to know that there will always be at least one person cheering you on from behind no matter what happens. When I possibly create my own state called Janesylvania someday, at least I'll know that Peter will have already accomplished fighting a bear.
Hopefully the new year brings something brighter for all of us this time.
