Power of the Pals

There are the days when we have our up sides. There are the days when we have our down times. There are the days when we feel our lethargic senses of energy disintegrating. But fortunately, every ghastly soul has a pleasant heart and every gloomy mood has its turning point. Well, today was my day of happiness.

Luckily, Dan and Kimmy came over today. We tempted to work on the campaign posters in which we did, but we headed off to Denny's for breakfast at 11 in the morning instead after awhile. Surprise, or no surprise? My workaholic dad was actually home today. So he drove us to Mcdonald's at first, but they stopped their breakfast runs at 10:30 am. That's why we headed over to Denny's. There is no joke that their roundish looking plates can fulfill a human's half empty/ half full stomach in less than 15 minutes. Maria, our server, was kind and helpful, so in the end, we left the tip of the receipt and scratched out, "Thanks Maria!" The strawberry milkshakes weren't quite the hot stuff, but we still enjoyed ourselves.

When we got back, we watched a bit of The City of Ember and then decided to go biking. Our first destination was Pennetencia Park. After several rounds of cruising around the park, we stopped by 7-11 to check if there were any Polaroid film left. Chances were, there were not. So we biked all the way up to the dazzling Tapioca Express to get multiflavored milk teas with pearls, instead of the cold and icy ice cream from Baskin Robbins.

Not long, we biked back to Cataldi Park, since my dad's friends were holding a random BBQ party. But the three of us decided to go around to take pictures with Mother Nature rather than eat burnt chicken and steak. After the two of them left, I headed over to the tennis courts to play some lazy night tennis. My lethargic mood was seriously crushing my desires to play any sort of hardcore tennis. Overall, I have to say that today was one heck of an adventurous Sunday morning/afternoon! We sure captured enough of all the sunny city air in one whole day. So until next week, we will be back again before you know it.

*I started the first 45 pages of My Lobotomy.
*I hope your Disneyland trip went well Jenell!
