Creative folks. What a weekend for you guys!

Vampires in Blue Dresses

Another one of my favorites from Margot & the Nuclear So & So's. Their songs are just perfect. Finals are finally here and are still coming. This year is about to come to an end and I can hardly wait any longer. The eagerness is honestly keeping me hanging on a cliff. However, I thank this 3-day weekend for treating me so well, for letting me catch up on some zzz's that I've been missing out on all year, and allowing me to figure out some iffy math problems. Happy almost-Tuesday.

Oh, and try not to pull out all of your hair. We're almost there.

Margot and the Nuclear So and So's

I just love everything about this band.

I wish I could see them live.

Dear John

The book was a good read for the weekend. Bittersweet.
“My dad always said that when you’re struggling with something, look at all the people around you and realize that every single person you see is struggling with something, and to them, it’s just as hard as what you’re going through.”

It's finally going to be sunny for good, I think.

This is what I did at Karney's house yesterday, when Trung was busy enjoying himself on Karney's massage chair.

Hey , didn't I see You on YouTube, again?

It was fun setting up and working the concession stands yesterday at the YouTube Concert. The bands were so generous, especially April Chase. Though the crowd wasn't the biggest turnout, Brandi said we broke even at least. So that's somewhat good to hear.

Since we got out at 12:15 pm yesterday, 40 minutes earlier than our usual short days, Chris drove Karney, Trung, and me to Quickly's. I tried the Honeydew Melon Milk Tea for the first time. I liked it, but I couldn't really taste it because everything was tasteless to me yesterday. Lin gave me a piece of brownie bite from Ruby Frozen Yogurt and it tasted like a rock. In other words, I couldn't taste it, because again, everything I ate was just like something I would just chew on. Up until now, my eyes aren't really watery anymore, but my throat feels like it has just been cut through with a sharp knife.

I wonder what I should eat this afternoon, since I just woke up. I've never woken up so late on a Saturday. I'd think that it'd feel wonderful, but it feels definitely not wonderful.

The weather is looking more summer-like today. So hopefully I'll be out at the courts with either Vincent or Anne. This three-day weekend will mostly be full of Math-Analysis for me. In all, I have about four more finals left.

On top of all of this chaos, I just found out that I got accepted into the Santa Clara University Teachers Program! Spectacular. Thank you Ms. Davis, for faxing the recommendation in immediately anyway, even though it was passed the due date. I am extremely excited, but hopefully my broskie will be back in San Jose the third week of June to take me.

Road for the Weekend

Oh darn this weather. I dislike the feeling of not being able to sneeze. If only I didn't feel the drowsiness, I would take my time to look at the tiny numbers in the math book.

On the bright side, I finished my NHS portfolio, Euro reflection for The Young Victoria, and Spanish homework.

For Tomorrow, May 28th, 2010

They said that Mr. England hated it whenever anyone used profanity. So in honor of Mr. England, tomorrow will be no-cussing-day. If you would like to participate, I have the stickers in my folder.

The Snack that Smiles Back

Baked Goodness.

After the Spring Concert, my dad took me to Safeway and I picked up some Original flavored baked goldfishes, yogurt cups for Chad and myself, and some oatmeal cookies for the TGIF group. In case you didn't know, TGIF is when we all bring food to share and sit together at the Senior Glen for a quick lunch/picnic.

I didn't know they made a Men's Choir until tonight. They were awesome with their white t-shirts and black vests attire. The Strings did an amazing job playing the Lion King songs. Dan, you missed out on the whole Make a Man out of You sing-along with Lin and me. It was surely a coinky dink that Advanced Band decided to play it. I am kind of sad that Mr. Bouchard is retiring because he sure was one of the greatest band teachers out there. But on the other hand, I am happy that he is retiring to pursue his own future goals and hobbies.

Mr. England's memorial service will be held at the Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park tomorrow at 1:00 pm.  The address is 300 Curtner Avenue, San Jose, CA 95125, if you would like to attend the service.

For Anne

I just got this picture off of Edwin's Tumblr. I like where and how this photo is shot. Brilliant, don't you think? I have to work on my letter of intent for National Honor Society now. We have our last music concert for this year in three hours. This means time for a quick nap, a letter of intent to be completed, and Math-Analysis to study for. But first, I need to munch on some tortilla chips from Costco and sip on some Lemongrass Green Tea. I wish I had time to catch up on the three episodes that I missed of Glee, but unfortunately, I don't at the moment.

It's Love.
my favorite my favorite my favorite my favorite

A long night of Math-Analysis studying awaits.

Tuesday, May 25, 2010

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth make a lovely couple.

I love using pastel, but they can get a little messy.

Studying In Damp Weather

Despite the hot and cold, rain and shine, I still feel the most comfortable studying at the Martin Luther King library. I had a total fruit galore session today in Euro, with the blackberries, strawberries, banana chips, bananas, and apples that I packed for Chad and myself this morning.

This afternoon I had a nicely wrapped turkey and avocado sandwich from Togo's. I also tried this bag of Honey Dijon chips from Tully's Coffee.

* Cheers to a wonderful Tuesday! Don't forget, success comes from hard work. There are only 10 days left of school starting tomorrow. 10 long, but important days. So make every day count.

Lemon Grass Tea and Red

All I know is that it is now 11 pm and I just completed my math homework, after three long and endless hours. I have a runny nose that feels like a bloody one. On nights like these, I know that I can always count on coffee and Lemon Grass Tea.

Closing the orange Math-Analysis textbook makes me happy because I like the color orange. Closing my red math notebook and red folder makes me happy because I like to see my favorite color in front of me. Cheers to another Monday it is.

Goodnight.

P.S. The Season Finale of 10 Things I Hate About You was pretty interesting, minus the part where Mr. Stratford walked into Kat's room after she and Pat had just done "it."
"Nothing is as simple as black and white" is sure correct. We are currently watching this movie in U.S. History and it is spectacular so far. I rate this movie with a high 8.3 as of now. That's 8 for the brilliance of the film itself, and .3 for the exciting, unexpected scenes.

I am looking forward to the last rally. We are using Peter Pan music for our skit.

Anyway, happy studying, everyone.

Days Left Of School:

Awesome Battle

We are now on the fourth movie in Euro. It is Monday once again. Starting today, there are 12 more days of school, not counting weekends and Memorial Day.

Happy Birthday, Kendall.

This sure looks good, but wait, it's not really for me now is it, Chad?

Blogworthy.

I spy a ship that looks like a taco to me and some people pointing at a dotted creature. A day in on a Saturday is what I needed the most. My least favorite part about painting is washing the brushes when I finish using them.

Ms. Davis, I'll have you know that the first assignment that I started today was the Marie Antoinette movie review.

1000 Balloons Please

I think for my 18th birthday, I want to do something exotic like this in my tiny backyard. I really like balloons only when I don't have to hold them all day. Tomorrow is Johnson's birthday though, so I have to figure out what to do soon.

I hope you all had a good Staff Collaboration Day because I know Lin, Dan, and I did. We walked over to Ruby's frozen yogurt after school today. I recommend the blueberry/mango flavors there. I am a fan of pomegranates and raspberries, but there, the mixed sorbet flavor just was not for me.

Today, I also visited Mission College to talk to a counselor regarding this summer's college courses. I filled out the Concurrent Enrollment Program Form this morning and even got Ms. Shoopman to sign it. But after browsing through the college course links for awhile by now, and looking over them once more today, there are really not that many enticing options. It makes me second guess about whether to take classes at Mission,  DeAnza or SJSU this summer or not. I am left at an uncertain stage at the moment. But I will figure it out after I study for the SATS tonight and plan for tomorrow's schedule. Happy early birthday to Johnson and happy early TGIF to all!

Doughnut Day

These sure look good. But I am not in the mood for doughnuts this morning if Chad is still sick. It's alright though, because the real Doughnut Day is in the beginning of June.

I don't understand how to do the English research paper yet. But I am excited that it is the last Staff Collaboration Day. I remember sitting on the grass in front of the Gym with Lin and Dan two days ago, wondering why this week is going by so slowly. But look, it's Thursday already.

Happy Thursday.

Tuesday, May 18, 2010

We are currently watching Marie Antoinette in Euro AP. We just finished watching Cromwell today and the movie review is due tomorrow. So I have to get to work on that, and study for the SATS after. Justin Tang let me borrow Dear John by Nicholas Sparks today. I cannot wait to read it, but I need to make sure that I finish working on math homework first. Mrs. Macasaet is now teaching us the limits chapter in Math-Analysis.

Amir and Hasaan

The Kite Runner was an incredible movie. I give it an 8/10.
Well I am certainly excited to watch this sometime during this week. I am going to write the in-class essay about The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini in appoximately less than 3 hours. I am kind of excited because I've read this book since Spring Break and I am so glad that I put sticky notes inside to remind myself what the whole storyline was about. There seems to be English subtitles for this online. Splendid.
