the worst thing that could happen to you on the SAT day

Just yesterday, I remember Eric, my SAT instructor, saying that the absolute worst thing that could happen to you on the SAT day is having your scientific calculator run out of batteries.

Well, this was exactly what happened to Christine this morning. Oh the irony.

But then a few seconds later, Christian immediately pulled out a bag of batteries out of his backpack for her. 

At that point, it changed to "oh the luck."
